Till Twice… Plant Once

Mar 26th, 2009 | By | Category: Gardening / Canning

As promised, Kelly came back and tilled the garden for the second time. This time he worked in some food and Nature’s Helper. As always, his timing was impeccable, because now we are facing 3 days of steady rain that will make things just right for planting around Good Friday!

I was in my sewing room trying to finish up some family PJ’s I had cut out at Christmas time (oyvey!). The pattern facings were completely wrong and I ended up ripping them out and will need to cut new ones. Teach me to walk a purchased pattern! The frustration was alot more bearable tho as I watched them from my window…

After tilling a few rows, Kelly gave into the begging Flying J’s and let them each have a turn at the tiller.

Here’s my born farmer, J1:

Next up, was my born gardener, J2:

Then my baby (dressed in his Homer Depot costume), J3:

It was a little harder than they expected:

Everybody took a little rest:

Had some lunch:

Then played!

Isn’t Spring Grand?
