Not long ago, I posted about how the tie-rod on our truck had broken. Angels were looking out for us that day. Given our financial situation, getting it fixed was not even an option. The repairman had said it would cost close to $1400.00 and coming up with that kind of cash isn’t possible. We had taken out our retirement incomes when our son’s appendix ruptured last year and when we had unexpected home problems. The words Savings Account hasn’t existed for at least 5 years. We were fortunate, our truck was so close to being paid for that we could trade it in and get another one without any money exchanging hands. That was a godsend! As was finding out about the axle “before” anyone was injured or worse. There are other angels too. Angels that will take Car Donations or Real Estate donations and turn them into cash to fund programs for at-risk boys.

When one of my brother’s left home, he left behind a car that needed someone to finish installing the new engine into. He had gotten too busy to finish the job himself and had given up on it. Mom ended paying someone to tow it away to a junk yard, but I’m sure given the right person, someone could have taken it and finished the job.

So, if you have automobiles hanging around that you don’t need any longer, why not put it to good use?
