Sewing Memories
Sep 9th, 2006 | By Gidget | Category: MachinesI recently joined a Necchi Sewing Enthusiast group on Yahoo. After a quick chat via email with the group owner, she had mentioned that she would like to see pics of my Necchi machine, which I’ve named, “Layla”.
I’ve spent most of the day taking pictures of my machines, scanning a couple of old manuals that I have and reminiscing with memories that each machine brings with it. The boys were busy with Nascar race day and playing, so, I decided to create pages about those memories tied to each machine. It offers pictures of the machines, the serial numbers, dates, but mainly, lots of memories that I’d like to share.
The first one is my very first sewing machine. She is a Singer 5127. I received her the year I turned 16. Of all of the machines, she’s got the most memories tied to her. Of course, I will only post about the sewing related memories, but it sure was fun to think back.
