I ran into this pattern on crochetpatterncentral.com and decided to give it a try. It was fun to do. Accidently, I crocheted the same stitch for three rows, which made kind of a cute ruffle at each end, so I left it. It will make a great scrubber and it was [...]

My Singer 5127, which held so many memories, has donated her organs (no not the needles, just the motor) so that my new 1975 Repro treadle singer that Mom gave me can live an electric life.
Luckily, I discovered that this machine has a motor mount under the handwheel. After pricing the parts to electrify [...]

My Sweet Darling Husband bought me the domain name, http://www.sewingmemories.com. The address is populating the net as we speak. What a guy! He spoils me rotten!
It would be really nice to use this sight as a memory post where all of us seamstresses and seamsters can post pics and memories that our [...]

I recently joined a Necchi Sewing Enthusiast group on Yahoo. After a quick chat via email with the group owner, she had mentioned that she would like to see pics of my Necchi machine, which I’ve named, “Layla”.
I’ve spent most of the day taking pictures of my machines, scanning a couple of [...]
