Breath-taking work….

While reading some sewing related blogs tonight, I ran into a link for an artist’s body of work where quilting was her medium. Her name is Anna Von Mertens and her work is incredibly inspiring. Years ago, a professor I knew had a pictorial book of movements within nature. He said, we should all hope to be so good. I think, Anna has it!!!!

Anyone that quilts will be inspired by her use of color and most importantly her skill and craftsmanship. Anyone that is an artist will be awed by the simplistic beauty and her use, not only of the quilting medium, but the entire space that the quilts are presented within. The complete picture is awe-inspiring!

This is one of her pieces, Glacial Blue/BIrd Migration Patterns of the Arctic
