Happy Birthday Jesus!

The Christmas Sewing List has begun and the panic has set in when I realized that the list is for 16 garments by Christmas, 2 by Dec 5th for a birthday, 2 more by Dec. 19th for another birthday and 8 more for some extra bean sprouts that grew larger than expected in the last few months. I am very excited to see how much of this list comes to fruition this year. Last year, I was able to get all but one project completed. Okay, so this is my old-age barometer. If only one or two items get dropped from the list then all is still well.

I must give credit to my most loving, skilled and compassionate creator. The ultimate artisan for whom I can only pray to share in his joy this season:

Thanks Be To God for waking me up after only two hours sleep to catch JoAnne’s after Thanksgiving sale at 6 AM. Because of his grace and his strong coffee beans I’ve got all of the materials I’ll need. Now I just pray for lots of energy and guided hands.

Lord, I pray….
Please remind thy sweet Brother sewing machine that if it jams in refusal to such a heavy workload, there are many others that would gladly hearken to the task. psst… even though it does make such beautiful buttonholes.
Lord, I pray….
Bless my hands and eyes, so that they may recognize the right nap directions before cutting.

And Lord, I pray….
that I might remember: take-up lines are not the cutting line!

And please, Lord, I pray, bless all of the sewers, knitters, crocheters, weavers and other artisans who are working very hard this time of year to be servants of your love and grace.
I love you.
Happy Birthday Jesus!
